Villa Medina uniquely combines modern interior design with Moroccan-Ibizan influences. Designed by French architect Niclas Besset, this holiday home is located near the monastery of Es Cubells in southwestern Ibiza, a still very authentic village, offering expansive views over the sea towards Formentera. The 10,000 m² property embodies the typical character of a Balearic finca, featuring mature trees and numerous lemon trees—a charming contrast to the modern villa.
The open-plan main house spans two floors. The living area on the ground floor boasts a seven-meter-high gallery and a large fireplace, inviting relaxation with high-quality cushions from Marrakech. The transition to the dining area and kitchen is seamless. In the evening, you can unwind at the Burmese wooden table or on the terrace. The house’s cabinets are all handcrafted from teak wood. Upstairs, a Moroccan corner adds a unique flair, reflected in the en-suite bathrooms: walls treated with a Moroccan painting technique called Tatlack, wooden tubs converted into sinks, and rainforest showers from Dornbracht’s Mem series. Each bedroom has its own terrace. The house also features numerous lamps by Maurer, and a German lighting architect designed the sophisticated lighting concept of Villa Medina. The small casita on the property serves as a private retreat for guests.
A pebble beach is just 500 meters away, and popular beaches like Cala Jondal or Es Torrent are only a few minutes’ drive. San Jose is approximately 4 kilometers away, and Ibiza Town is about 18 kilometers distant.
