We found our dream house by the sea near Cala Llombards in the south of the Balearic island and rented it for our summer vacation in Mallorca with our children and a family friend! Our exclusive holiday villa in Mallorca is called Villa Can Tarringo, and it truly lives up to its name! Absolute peace and stunning views can be enjoyed from the terraces, balconies, and the beautiful garden. The property is located not far from the town of Santanyi and the Bay of Llombards. The luxurious holiday home features five bedrooms and – of course, important for the kids – a wonderful swimming pool!
Due to our late arrival on a Sunday afternoon, shopping is a bit tricky. However, as one would expect when booking an exclusive holiday villa in Mallorca, it’s absolutely no problem at all: When booking, we specify our shopping preferences, and upon arrival, we find the villa stocked with a full refrigerator, cold drinks, ice, and sweets for the kids.
In the small village, there is also a beautiful beach, which can be reached by car in 10-15 minutes, including a beach restaurant where you can enjoy fresh grilled sea bream at lunchtime. But, in fact, we were almost every day happier to be in our exclusive holiday villa in Mallorca, enjoying the peace and privacy with the family. Even at breakfast, you can feel the small difference compared to a luxury hotel: Everyone can sleep as long as they want, as there is no time pressure, or – even better – after the first coffee and a little fruit, you can jump into the refreshing pool! You simply live like at home and enjoy the feeling of “Home from Home”!
Let’s not forget the afternoons when the sun slowly lowers in the western sky, which we sweeten with delicious drinks from the in-house bar while watching the children happily explore the large property and discover the lawn for ball games.
Unforgettable are the hours at the large dining table next to the stone barbecue – topped off with daily sunsets. It’s all like something out of a picture book, with pleasant temperatures around 30°C, a light breeze, and consistently happy faces!
The house cleaning is professionally carried out by a very nice housekeeper three times a week for two hours. We can book more services for an additional fee, but the included service is perfectly sufficient for us. We only drive to the island’s capital, Palma, once. The city offers perfect conditions for shopping, sightseeing, and strolling through the picturesque alleys. After a small snack at a charming tapas bar, we visit the impressive La Seu Cathedral and then the medieval castle complex, Castell de Bellver. In the early afternoon, we decide to return to our exclusive holiday villa in Mallorca, where we enjoy the cool waters of the pool and the last rays of sunshine of the day, of course, with a fruity cocktail in hand.
Of course, we haven’t forgotten about the excellent restaurants near our exclusive holiday villa! In Santanyi, on the large central square, there are numerous good Mallorcan restaurants, all offering outdoor seating. We can’t yet quite decide whether we’ll go back to Mallorca to our dream vacation home or perhaps take a detour to St. Tropez, Ibiza, or Italy.
